Every 2 to 4 weeks, we release a minor update for iQualify. These updates mainly fix bugs. In addition, they may contain minor functional changes. These are improvements that make using iQualify even easier and can be used without explanation. Larger functional changes are only made available in a major update.

In this release, functional changes have been made and a number of bugs have been fixed. Curious about what has changed in minor release 5.4.3? We've summarised it for you on this page.

Waiting room secure environment

For tests taken within iQualify's secure environment, the waiting room was introduced in release 5.4.0. After a successful login, the student enters a virtual waiting room if the test cannot be started immediately. iQualify continuously checks whether the student can be forwarded. If necessary, a manual check can be carried out to see if the test can be started. This ensures peace of mind for both the student and the supervisor. Unfortunately, there were situations where some customers experienced serious performance issues. As a precaution, we therefore disabled this functionality in early October.

Over the past 2 months, all necessary actions have been taken to fix minor and major problems with the waiting room or with test-taking in general. This release therefore makes this functionality available again. The performance of test-taking in the secure environment is always proactively monitored automatically and, for the time being, also manually.

Rights to media

To use media, users needed rights to manage queries until recently. With iQualify training, using media is no longer exclusively linked to managing questions. A change has therefore been made so that users who have management rights for questions or iQualify training also have rights to use and manage media.

Number of login attempts limited

A user who uses an incorrect combination of username and password when logging in will be given a neat notification of this that the username or password is incorrect. The number of attempts a user has is now limited to five per minute. After five incorrect combinations with the same username, a user cannot log in with that username for one minute. This security measure makes it more difficult for malicious people to retrieve login data.
