We regularly release a minor update for iQualify. These updates mainly fix bugs. In addition, they may contain minor functional changes. These are improvements that make using iQualify even easier and can be used without explanation. Larger functional changes are only made available in a major update.

In this release, functional changes have been made and a number of bugs have been fixed. Curious about what has changed in minor release 5.5.3? We've summarised it for you on this page.

Time elapsed

With a (summative) test, there may be a fixed time when the learning period ends. For students who are still taking the test at that time, it simply means that time is up. For a paper-based test, this would mean that you can only hand in the test you have taken. This is how it now works within iQualify.

When answering a question, it checks whether the learning period is still open. If it is not, in the case of a summative test the student is shown the summary page. On this page, the student also sees that the time has expired. At that moment, no more answers can be changed. The student can only close the test and then sees the results page. This operation applies to both the STE environment and the regular test environment.

If a formative test is no longer available while taking the test, the test will be closed and the student will automatically return to the 'My courses' page.

User import accelerated

Importing many users could previously take a very long time. the processing process has been thoroughly changed technically in this release. Importing many users who are also linked to many different groups has now become much faster.

It is worth noting that importing users where passwords are created/overwritten takes considerably longer than without passwords. After all, the process of irreversibly storing a password in encrypted form is an intensive one.

Comments button moved

The button to add a comment to a question has been moved. The button is now within the context of the question. This also makes it clearer that the comment belongs to the question and is not primarily intended for comments on the test.
