• What's new in iQualify version 5.6.3

We regularly release a minor update for iQualify. These updates mainly fix bugs. In addition, they may contain minor functional changes. These are improvements that make using iQualify even easier and can be used without explanation. Larger functional changes are only made available in a major update.

Delete protected location

Previously, it was not always possible to delete a protected location. As a result, it was always shown when creating a new learning period or changing an existing protected learning period. It is now possible to have a protected location removed provided no learning periods are associated with it. You can easily see this in the overview of learning periods by filtering on this location only. Contact the service desk if you want to have a secure location removed.

"Learning period results reporting" extended and made suitable for training sessions

This report now also shows results for training sessions. In addition, columns have been added to indicate for each line whether it is a test or training. Furthermore, the status and date of the last activity are shown. With these changes, the report has become more versatile.

Safe testing from home now available 1 hour before start

At release 5.6.0 has made it possible to use the secure STE environment without having to check whether you are in a specific location based on IP address. This allows students to take a test from home but, as a supervisor/teacher, you can otherwise use all the functionality of the STE environment. Students log into their regular iQualify environment to do this. If there is a test ready for them that is already available or will become available in the near future, an extra block will be shown for this on the my courses page. Here the student can click on the location to go to the test. This block was shown from 15 minutes before the start time of the test's learning period. In practice, however, students often want to be ready and start any proctoring software earlier than 15 minutes before the test start time. This time has therefore now been extended to 60 minutes. It gives students more time to prepare at their leisure.

Message for connection problem changed

At release 5.5.2 has introduced functionality where students are informed the moment there is a connection problem. When a problem was detected, iQualify showed an icon in the top left corner. Clicking on it showed a notification with an explanation of the situation. Students had to signal this icon themselves and call up the information to read the content of the notification. This way of working did not do enough justice to the potential seriousness of the problem. Now the notification is shown immediately when a connection problem occurs. The content of the notification has also been adjusted to provide students with the best possible information.
