We regularly release a minor update for iQualify. Minor updates mainly fix bugs. They may also contain minor functional changes. These are improvements that make using iQualify even easier and can be used without explanation. Larger functional changes are made available in a major update. Release 6.2.0 is a minor release in which a major feature has been added. Curious about what has changed in release 6.2.0? We've summarised it for you on this page. Check status.infoland.nl to see when version 6.2.0 will be released.
User provisioning using SCIM protocol
In this release, a new option has been added to manage users in iQualify from an external source. This is particularly interesting for organisations with 50+ users and/or organisations where many changes occur in user management. This is done on the basis of the so-called SCIM protocol. This is a widely used standard, made specifically for managing users across different systems. In fact, you can use any source that supports this protocol, Azure Active Directory being the most well-known.
It is now possible to manage users, groups and group memberships externally. After creating a new provider in iQualify, you enter the details screen where all the necessary linking information is immediately available.
There may be conflicts between the external source and users already known in iQualify. This is the case if the external source wants to add a new user with a username that is already known in iQualify. This is indicated in the list of providers. Through the details, you can open the conflicts screen. There you can choose to "Link" or "Delete notification". When linking, you say that it is indeed actually the same user. If you choose this, the user will be linked and from now on managed externally. If you choose "Delete Notification", you don't actually do anything other than delete the notification. If you do nothing else about the problem, the notification will soon return because the system will once again signal that there is a conflict.
If you use iQualify with a licence for a fixed number of users, then you need to take into account that the number of users you externally manage and link with iQualify stays within the licence number.
You need to have the organisation right "Settings and rights" to set up external user management.
